Hi Robert, thanks for a job excellently done. Jan came home very pleased and satisfied with every aspect of his trip. Everyone along the way was very prompt and responded quickly. We were not the least expensive but you were well worth the money we spent. Ernesto in Cuzco was very informative, prompt, and went out of his way to help my wife when she needed help find some things to make her feel better. Also, there was a tour guide at Machu Picchu name Deana that went out of her way in a pouring rain, shivering most the time to help us find rain gear, umbrellas, and still did the tour without rushing us or cutting the tour short when a lot of other guides were heading out. Our guides were knowledgable and tailored their discussions to our needs. All of our transfers were on time.We compared experiences with those that took a similar trip through Holland America ( but at twice the price). My husband and I recently visited Peru with friends. During our planning we struggled to find accommodations and transportation to move us about the country safely and efficiently. We happened up David Kennedy and “Escaped to Latin America”. We were so lucky! We were able to discuss with him the accommodations we wanted and the sights we wanted to see. We were met by our guides or drivers at every turn, they were knowledgeable and friendly. We were able to get information about history, local items, where were, the atms? best food? We felt comfortable and well taken care of. I can’t say enough about our experience. We saw many travelers on our trip who weren’t so lucky and it didn’t look like fun. Dear Escaped to Latin America Hotels were excellent, with good service and good breakfast buffets and restaurants. All individuals were professional, friendly, prompt and informative. The removal of any need to worry about all details made the trip relaxing and very enjoyable. The four days of the trek were the highlight. That experience will be remembered as an awesome adventure. We spent the extra day in Lima which allowed us to take the bus tour of the city, visit the catacombs of San Francisco and have a great dinner at the ruins at Huaca Pucllana. The local guides were professional and friendly. They gave the impression that their sole purpose in life was to make us happy. I was sick one day and stayed in the hotel while the others went on a tour. The tour guide (this was the last full day) actually phoned me at the hotel to see how I was. I have never experienced customer service as good as this. Hotel staff in all cases were also dedicated to keep us happy. They had a permanent smile on their faces and were always eager to help. We were a bit disappointed with the last hotel. The room amenities were very sparse.. only one chair and little stools.. now I know its winter, but the room needed 2 heaters to keep it warm. We were met by a rep at the hotel who gave us a rundown on the whole trip as well as advice such as not cleaning your teeth with tap water. From that moment on everything went perfectly. They took us out to the plane and got us right through to the departure gate. Every time we arrived at a new destination there was a rep who spoke good English and was very well informed about the history and local customs. The hotels were superb in all locations.
