Great adventure and great company! Thanks for the Thanksgiving greetings. The Canadians crossed the border Wednesday morning for Black Friday sales. As yourequested previously, I will email some group pictures (after some serious photoshopping ) to you with everyone's permission of course.Cheers!Dear Carol and Rob , you surely have my permission for " press release " . I'm suffering from serious effectOf post vacation blues. Missing you all......I left my heart in Machu Picchu.Love and tight hugs from Jeanita
Everything went well and we enjoyed ourselves very much. It was very organized and we were particularly impressed with your reps: they were very helpful and informative.
Thanks again for helping us set up our trip.
Loved the hotels, the tours and how well we were taken care of. Thanks for the amazing vacation!
Expect a great review from me on Trip Advisor ... and any other site I can think of.
The special farm lunch in the Sacred Valley was amazing. Thanks again for all your work to put our tour together.
If I ever do another tour though Latin America again, I WILL use Escaped to Latin America to help plan my trip - local guides and excellent accommodations. They rock!
Thank you very much. I have been extolling your virtues and that of Condor.
I was by far the oldest person on Machu Picchu Mountain by at least a decade. You are correct, it was a fun hike.
Any place I can be of help to you through comments, and recommendations, I would be glad to do so.
I recently travelled to Machu Picchu and surroundings on a tour with your company. I usually don’t write letters of commendation nor condemnation, but I will make an exception.
You might remember that there was some doubt as to whether or not I would be able to make the tour due to some lingering health problems from surgery that I had from January. My recovery took seven times longer due to complications. The worst part was my strength and stamina were drained and I very slowly got back to some degree of health.
I decided to go on the tour with Don Maier and did my best to get back in shape. It took me over 2 months to do my 12 laps of an Olympic sized pool.
I then decided to participate on the tour.
Two days before we were to go up to Machu Picchu (April 29th and 30th), I tried running up the “huaca” on the Cuzco city tour and totally strained my two knees.
Two days later (April 29th) we went up Machu Picchu with our guide Percy.
Percy was absolutely wonderful as he personally helped me up and down every painful step I took. His hand was always there to pull me up and his arm was always there to help me balance on the way down. He was absolutely wonderful. He carried my camera for me all day so I wouldn’t stumble and break it. He would take photos of Machu Picchu while I rested. I don’t think he could do anything else to be perfect. He certainly made and saved a wonderful day for me.
I always think of the book “From Good to Great” (Collins) and I will always think of Percy for teaching me , from great to excellent”.
As much as I gave him a tip that day, I would like to send $100 USD to Percy as a special bonus for his incredible help. Please let me know how.
Your other guides and transfer staff were very good, and I remember Arturo was always good to Don and I, too.
I will always remember my tour to Peru and Machu Picchu but I will long remember the lesson Percy taught me…we can all achieve excellence, if we put the effort in.
Thanks for an absolutely wonderful trip.

We had a wonderful trip - sorry it's taken so long to get back to you - just trying to get back into the swing of things with real life :)
We were nervous that the people picking us up from the airports wouldn't be there or would be late - but they were all there waiting for us, which was great! We had wonderful tours while in Peru - Rosemary - can't remember her last name - (Cusco Tour and Sacred Valley tours) was wonderful - we were so happy to see her on our second tour. Paul Guerra was our tour guide in Machu Picchu and was a wealth of knowlege and it was great to have a private tour! He took all sorts of pictures for us that were amazing!
Our Brazil Tour (Rio and Christ the Redeemer) was also great - Jorge was our tour guide and we pretty much had a private tour in the morning and for lunch because no one else had booked the tour that day - we had 3 other ladies with us for the afternoon to see the Christ the Redeemer statue. Again, Jorge was great and was very excited to practice his english with us! He also took many great pictures of my husband and I throughout the day.
When we arrived in Iguassu, Cleiton picked us up and brought us to our hotel. He was also our tour guide for the Brazillian side of the falls - he asked us to be ready for 9 am, but we didn't get picked up by him until almost 9:30am. We were under the impression initially that he would be with us for more of the activities, but we then realized that the tours on the Brazillian side were taken care of by other groups (ie. the jet boat ride, the safari). Cleiton said he would be back to pick us up after we were done (in about 2 hours) - we waited 20-25 minutes after the morning session for him to come get us, which we were a little nervous about... but he did come back and get us and then dropped us off to walk along the trail to see the falls, which was amazing. He did meet us on time once we were done with the walking trail and dropped us back off at our hotel.
Pedro picked us up the next morning at ~8:45am for the Argentinian Tour, Cleiton was apparently sick. Our tour guides were Daniel and Fernando. They were great and took us all around - our only complaint was that there was alot of waiting around for what seemed like no reason before we left for the border and then at the border (which is to be expected). The tour was much longer than we anticipated - we didn't get back until after 4pm, which was fine with us. We had a great time seeing the Argentinian side and Daniel was able to answer all of our questions and take pictures also.
So all in all, it was a fantastic trip - thank you so much for organizing everything!!! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend your company to anyone looking to go to South America!
Thanks for everything!
Excellent. (We decided to book because of) the ability to customize our experience, and the prompt responses we would recieve to our questions. There was always someone at every leg of the journey to make sure we were taken care of. It left the guesswork out of things, which is comforting when traveling in a foreign country- Rachel Heyl, Cincinnati, USA - November 2013
We had a wonderful trip and it seemed everything went pretty well. Our first day in Cusco was very tiring since we did not arrive until 1 am and had to be up early to catch the flight to Cusco. I think there was a glitch in the scheduling and we did a Sacred Valley tour immediately after arrival which made the day very long and we were all exhausted by the time we got to the hotel that evening. ...- The Berrys and the Scotts, Califonia, USA - July 2016
Hi Escaped, I think that I speak for the whole gang in saying that it was a teriffic trip. We were very happy with the local providers except Buenos Aires. They were O.K. but we had a few wrinkles with them.
El Calafate was terrific. We were very grateful that our ride to Torres was greatly reduced by the "shortcut ride" . The Vehicle cut out approximately 3 hours of travel by traveling on a dir...
